INTERGEO 2020 – Corona Update
We are continuing to plan the organisation of INTERGEO 2020 in Berlin for you. We are currently working on concepts and formats that will allow us to hold INTERGEO according to Corona safety standards. Because your health and ours is important to us.

Under the motto "Geoinformation for a smart world", the INTERGEO CONFERENCE 2020 will focus on the following topics

In the interview: Dr. Markus Ziegeler on sustainable forestry and the use of the bark beetle app. He describes the climatic changes and the resulting increased spread of the bark beetle in native forests. The detection and monitoring of infested trees and the resulting follow-up work is mapped by means of a continuous digital workflow.
Thomas Jarzombek, the Federal Government's coordinator for German Aerospace, describes the use of drones as "unmanned flight in the service of man, nature and society" in the foreword to the brochure of the same name published by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy.
Desert locusts eat their way through the harvests of the people in East Africa. Up to 20 million people are currently threatened by hunger. In an audio interview, Keith Cressman explains how he is trying to help fight them with the help of geodata.
INTERGEO 2020 will take place from 13 to 15 October at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. The Exhibition Grounds, which are close to the city centre, are very easy to reach and are directly connected to the airports via the motorway. The INTERGEO CONFERENCE and FOCUS SESSIONS will take place in the brand new hub27, the EXPO will be taking place in halls 1, 3 and 5 as well as 21 – 23 and 27 with over 700 exhibitors.
