WINGCOPTER introduced itself in October 2016 in the start-up session at INTERAERIAL SOLUTIONS part of INTERGEO in Hamburg - and won first prize! Since then, the cargo drone of the has been taking off more and more frequently, transporting parcels, medicines and food over distances of up to 120 kilometres.
Since the beginning of March 2020, it is now announced that Wingcopter has been committed to a second seven-figure investment by Singapore-based Corecam Capital Partners. Only three months after the first seven-figure financing, Corecam Capital Partners has increased its investment as the start-up has reached further milestones. According to Wingcopter, the additional capital will be used to expand the team in order to meet the high demand and accelerate the further development of the Wingcopter.
Founded in 2017, Wingcopter develops and produces autonomous flying delivery drones for social and civil applications, such as accelerating life-saving medication delivery to remote islands. With its patented tilt-rotor mechanism, the start-up closes the gap between commercial drones, helicopters and fixed-wing aircrafts, thus achieving a new dimension of efficiency. It all began in 2016 with the development of a drone for measurement and inspection, which they presented at the INTERAERIAL SOLUTIONS part of INTERGEO in Hamburg in 2016.
